Dr. Provencher is a board certified orthopedic surgeon who specializes in shoulder, knee and sports injuries. Over the course of his extensive career he has treated professional athletes and elite military personnel. He has been with The Steadman Clinic and Steadman Philippon Research Institute since March 2016.
Dr. Provencher works with the medcom group, ltd® to provide his patients with the best rehabilitation equipment. We provide his patients with the NICE1 Cold + Compression Systems as well as Continuous Passive Motion devices (CPM).
NICE1 Cold + Compression Therapy System
The NICE1 Cold + Compression Therapy System uses advanced technology to deliver precise, consistent cold therapy without ice. It is far easier and safer to use than a device which requires you to constantly take the unit to a sink to empty water and add more ice. Plus, the temperature is constant throughout the cooling session instead of varying like a system that uses ice. The programmable compression greatly improves the effectiveness of the cold therapy while reducing swelling in the affected area. Combined, the therapeutic benefits of cold therapy plus compression in a single, easy to use device, reduces pain, promotes healing and speeds up recovery times.
For Dr. Provencher's patients, the NICE1 rents for two weeks for $325. Each additional week is $150. The Medcom Vail team will reach out to you prior to your procedure and make arrangements to deliver the unit. We will walk you through a setup, fitting and orientation to ensure you understand how to operate the touch screen interface. We will show you how to apply your wrap and get the most out of the system during your rental period.
